Our founding Board of Directors and Past Presidents of the Summit Club hold a
special place in the chronicles of Fort Waynes private club scene. They had a
vision of excellence and a determination to create something special for their
community. It was their dream and work that is today the reality known as the
Summit Club.

Donald J. Andorfer
Mr. Donald J. Andorfer retired in 2003 from Indiana Institute of
Technology after 28 years of service; he was president for the last
18 years; prior to that Mr. Andorfer spent 17 years with International
Junior College Business. Currently he works with Grand Canyon University
as Interim President. Mr. Andorfer is a member of the Higher Learning
Commission of North Central Association of College and Universities which
does accreditation and reviews of institutions in a seventeen state area.
Accomplishments include a BA and Masters Degree from Ball State University
and an Honorary Doctorate from Tiffin University.
Mr. Andorfer has served as a board member of Downtown Rotary Club,
Science Central, Embassy Foundation, Leadership Prayer Breakfast
Committee and Robert Morris College in (Chicago, IL). He is also a
member of the St. Aloysius Church in Yoder and Indiana Institute of
Technology. Married to Mary Janet for 47 years they have three children,
Susan (St. Louis), Joseph (New York) and Barbara, (Colorado) and
two grand children. Mr. Andorfer and his family live on a farm in
south Allen County that has belong to his family for four generations.
He is an avid golfer, likes fishing and a loyal follower of the St. Louis
Cardinals baseball team
